Schmizza Public House Information

Right off the highway in Lebanon, Oregon, Schmizza Public House has the kind of easygoing, welcoming vibe that makes you want to settle in for a while rather than just grab a quick bite. The location is convenient, especially if you’re passing through or looking for a casual local hangout, and it’s clear from the steady flow of customers that it’s a favorite in the area.

Walking in, the atmosphere leans toward relaxed and family-friendly, with a touch of sports-bar energy-think TVs on the walls, comfortable seating, and a low-key buzz of conversation. It’s not overly polished, but that’s part of the charm. The staff usually greet you quickly, and from experience, service tends to be attentive without hovering, which works well whether you’re there for a quick lunch or a longer dinner with friends.

The menu is where Schmizza Public House really shines. As the name suggests, pizza is a central focus, and the variety goes beyond the basics. You’ll find creative combinations alongside classic pies, with toppings that feel thoughtfully chosen rather than thrown together. The crust strikes a nice balance-crispy on the outside, soft inside-and holds up well even with heavier toppings. Beyond pizza, the menu branches out into sandwiches, burgers, and shareable appetizers, making it a solid choice for groups with different tastes.

One standout from a recent visit was a specialty pizza loaded with savory meats and a slightly tangy sauce that tied everything together without overpowering the other flavors. Pairing it with a local craft beer from their selection added to the experience, and it’s clear they’ve put some effort into offering drinks that complement the food rather than just filling space on the menu.

Reviews from locals often highlight consistency, which is something you notice after more than one visit. The food quality doesn’t fluctuate much, and portions are generous enough to feel like you’re getting good value. That said, during peak hours, there can be a bit of a wait, and the noise level picks up, so it’s not the quietest spot if that’s what you’re after.

Overall, the combination of a varied menu, approachable atmosphere, and reliable service makes it easy to see why this place has built a loyal following in Lebanon.

Many options unique pizzas bottomless drinks and selection of beer… Nashville chicken with Cajun tater tots Cali burger and Mac daddy’s pizza

Schmizza is a great spot in Lebanon to grab some beer or cider, and yummy food. I've tried the brussel sprouts appetizer, along with one of their vegetarian-friendly pizzas. Both really delicious! I always find at least a couple drinks on the tap list that I want to try. My husband got a growler from them for the first time today (Christmas gift to himself?). It's always super clean and the staff are very friendly. They offer both high and low tables, and outside options, though I'm not certain if those are available year round.

Yummy food!!!! Hard to decide what to order each time as it's all good. Sat outside the heated tent area. The temperature was perfect. As for service? Some are awesome and some show how stressed they are. Some rush your service and some are laid back and easy going.

Sometimes I feel awkward eating alone when I'm on the road for work, but the atmosphere here was great. The service was quick, friendly, and helpful. And this Mac & cheese was the best I've had at a restaurant - just look at all that browned cheese giving it amazing flavor! I chose to add the Italian sausage, and it was quite spicy, but delicious.

Hands down the best and largest beer selection in town. They know their beer and provide a wide variety of beverages including IPAs, ales, ciders, wine, stouts, porters, and even root beer from all across Oregon and the PNW. Great beer, great food, great people. This was the first place I came to after landing in Lebanon and it was my last stop before I left. I genuinely recommend coming here. Try their Mac n cheese. It's top-tier! Oh, and there's covered outdoor seating with heaters. Plenty of parking. Plenty of seating (especially for larger groups. Clean bathrooms. What more do you want?!

This public house is a favorite for our family. They have a great atmosphere and friendly staff! The selection of food and drinks is broad and bound to find something for almost everyone. We especially enjoy going in for the happy hour and splitting something small for a snack as an afternoon hangout. I definitely recommend it if you're looking for a good place to find a brew in the town that friendliness built!

Large selection of IPAs. Was able to sample some before making a choice. Our waitress was awesome and the food was yummy as was the lemon cake. Prices were reasonable. We all enjoyed our meals, beer and desserts were excellent. It's very clean, quick to take your order and checked back frequently to see if we needed anything. Masks optional. Handicap accessible. Outdoor dining area is also available.

Great pizza portions were nice. Burger was, really good, bottom bun was a bit soggy. The pizza was crisp and cooked perfect but the sauce was a bit salty.
